Terms of Use

Facility Terms of Use
In order to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for Guests, the Hotel specifies the following Facility Terms of Use (hereafter the “Terms”) based upon article 10 of the Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Contracts. We thank you for your cooperation.
In the event a Guest is unable to comply with the Terms, said Guest shall not be permitted to use Hotel Facilities (as defined in paragraph 1).
Additionally, we ask for caution as, in the event of non-compliance with the Terms, the offending party shall take full responsibility should any accident occur due to his/her actions.

(The Scope of these Terms)
Article 1

The Terms apply to all visiting individuals and to all Hotel Facilities (accommodation facilities, lounges, shower rooms etc. (hereafter collectively, the “Facilities”)).
Additionally, Guests staying at the Hotel (hereafter, “Guests”) are responsible to comply with the Terms and Conditions of Accommodation Contracts (hereafter, “Accommodation Contract”) in addition to these Terms.
(Matters to be Observed for Safety and Security)
Article 2

The evacuation route map from the guestroom (capsule beds) area is displayed near the elevators. Please be sure to confirm the route.
During your stay, please be sure to bring your IC wrist key with you whenever you are outside of your guestroom (capsule bed).
If you observe anything suspicious at any point during your stay, please contact the front desk. Individuals other than the registered Guest are not permitted to stay in the Facilities or enter any areas other than the lobby. All Facilities are non-smoking, please use the designated smoking area. Please refrain from bringing hot objects such as heaters, cooking equipment, irons etc. into the capsule beds.
Please refrain from any other activities that may be a fire hazard.
Please do not enter areas of the Facilities that are off limits to Guests, such as the backyard, fire-escape, machine room, etc.
Based on the Tokyo ordinance to promote the healthy development of youths, individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the Facilities.
(Regarding the Handling of Valuables and Stored Items)
Article 3

Guests are to use the valuables box located within the guestrooms (capsule beds) at their own risk.
Stored items forgotten at the Hotel, unless otherwise specified, will be held for 7 days from the day the Hotel took possession of (or found) said item(s). After that period the lawful procedure will be followed.
(However, paragraphs 2 and 3 of article 16 of the Accommodation Contract will be applied to Guests. Also, even if an item has been specified to be kept by the Hotel, the aforementioned guidelines will be followed if this is not fulfilled.)
(Regarding Payment)
Article 4

Guests are required to pay for their stay upon arrival.
Please be advised that we only accept payment through Japanese yen, credit cards, and some pre-settled electronic money transfers. We are also unable to exchange foreign currency.
We will not cover the cost of air, train, or bus tickets, taxi fare, luggage shipping fees, etc.
Please only use Japanese yen when using the vending machines in the lobby.
(The Prohibition of Facility Use for Members of Anti-Social Organizations)
Article 5

Use of Hotel Facilities is prohibited for the following individuals and groups. Additionally, should a Guest at any pint be found to fall under one of these categories, said individual will be immediately barred from the premises, irrespective of whether or not said individual has completed a reservation, or is currently using the Facilities.
  • a. A criminal syndicate (hereafter, “Syndicate”) as described in article 2-2 of the “Law on Preventing Unreasonable Conduct by Organized Crime Groups” (Code 77, Issued 1991), or a member of a criminal syndicate (hereafter: “Member”) as defined by article 2-6 of the same law, associate members of a Syndicate, individuals associated with a Syndicate, and other anti-social organizations.
  • b. The individual is part of a corporation or group controlled by a Syndicate or a Member.
  • c. The individual is part of a corporation where the director is a Member.
  • d. When violence, injury, intimidation, threatening unreasonable demands, or any similar actions are discovered.
(Please Avoid the Following Actions)
Article 6

Please do not bring items that may inconvenience others into the Hotel Facilities.

  • a) Dogs, cats, birds, and other varieties of animals and pets.(Guide dogs and service dogs are permitted).
  • b) Explosive or flammable items.
  • c) Items with an unpleasant or strong smell.
  • d) Illegal weapons such as guns and knives, and illegal drugs.
  • e) An unreasonably large amount of luggage or possessions.
  • f) Other illegal goods.

Please limit use of cellular telephones to the 1F lobby and refrain from making calls in other areas of the Hotel. Please turn phones to silent while within Hotel Facilities.
Please do not use the guestrooms or lobby for commercial reasons.
The unauthorized sale, advertising, or promotion of goods within the Hotel Facilities is prohibited.
Using unauthorized photographs taken within the Hotel Facilities for commercial purposes may result in legal action being taken, so please refrain from such activities.
Please refrain from leaving items in the halls and lobby.
(Items left unattended for an extended period of time may be taken for keeping by the Hotel and/or have their contents investigated.)
Please refrain from actions such as gambling, discipline, activities that disturb the peace, activities that bother or disgust other Guests, etc. within the Facilities.
Please avoid loud voices, singing, or other noisy activities that may disturb others.
Food and drink orders from outside sources are not permitted.
Please avoid wandering in areas other than your capsule bed wearing only undergarments, etc.
Individuals other than the registered Guest are not permitted to stay.
Please avoid smoking in the hallways, lobby, or any area other than the designated smoking room.
Based on the Tokyo ordinance to promote the healthy development of youths, individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the Facilities.
The Hotel reserves the right to refuse service to individuals who could cause fear or uneasiness to other Guests or who are incapable of ensuring their own safety due to them not being fully aware of themselves due to mental or physical weakness, or drugs.
When using Hotel facilities and furnishings, please refrain from using them anywhere other than their original specified place.
Any damage, soiling, or loss of buildings, fixtures, or other items, regardless of intent, will result in the Guest being responsible to pay considerable damages.
Any damage, soiling, or loss of buildings, fixtures, or other items, due to anything other than uncontrollable forces, will result in the Guest being responsible to pay considerable damages.
Except for in an emergency, Guests are not permitted to enter the fire-escape, roof, tower, machine room, etc.
Other acts deemed inappropriate by the Hotel.

Terms & Conditions for Accommodation Contract

Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Contract
(The Scope of these Terms and Conditions)
Article 1

  • 1.Contracts for accommodation and related agreements to be entered into between GLANSIT (hereafter the “Hotel”) and the Guest to be accommodated will be subject to these Terms and Conditions. Any details not provided here will be decided by laws and regulations and/or widely accepted practices.
  • 2.In the case where the Hotel has entered into a special contract with the Guest to the extent that such special contract does not violate laws and regulations and/or widely accepted practices, the special contract is to take precedence over the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, notwithstanding the previous paragraph.
(Application for Accommodation Contract)
Article 2

  • 1.A Guest who intends to apply for an accommodation contract with the Hotel will inform the hotel of the following:
    • (1) Name of the Guest(s)
    • (2) Date of accommodation
    • (3) Accommodation fees
    • (4) Other information deemed necessary by the Hotel.
  • 2.If, during their stay, Guests request to extend their stay longer than the date provided in (2) above, it will, at that time, be treated as an application for a new accommodation contract.
(Conclusion of Accommodation Contracts, etc)
Article 3

  • 1. An accommodation contract will be deemed to have been completed when the Hotel has duly accepted the application as specified in the preceding article. However, the same does not apply where it has been proven that the Hotel has not accepted the application.
  • 2. When an accommodation contract has been completed in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Guest is requested to pay an accommodation deposit set by the Hotel within the limits of basic accommodation charges covering the Guest’s entire period of stay (or 3 days if the period of stay is longer than 3 days) by the date specified by the Hotel.
  • 3. The deposit is to first be used for the total accommodation charge to be paid by the Guest, secondly for cancellation charges under Article 6, and then for reparations under Article 17 if applicable. If a remainder exists, it is to be refunded at the time of payment for accommodation as stated in article 12.
  • 4. If the Guest fails to pay the deposit by the date specified in paragraph 2, the Hotel will treat the accommodation contract as invalid. However, the same only applies in the case where the Guest is thus informed by the Hotel when the period of payment of the deposit is specified.
(Special Contracts Requiring No Accommodation Deposit)
Article 4

  • 1.Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 2 of the preceding article, the Hotel may enter into a special contract requiring no accommodation deposit after the contract has been concluded as specified in the same paragraph.
  • 2.In the case where the Hotel has not requested payment of the deposit as specified in paragraph 2 of the previous article, and/or has not specified the date of payment of the deposit at the time the application for an accommodation contract has been accepted, it is to be treated as though the Hotel has accepted a special contract as described in the previous paragraph.
(Refusal to Conclude Accommodation Contracts)
Article 5

The Hotel may refuse to conclude accommodation contracts under the following circumstances:

  • (1) The application for accommodation fails to meet these Terms and Conditions
  • (2) When there is no vacancy.
  • (3) When the individual seeking accommodation is deemed likely to conduct his/herself in an unlawful or immoral way, or act against public order in regard to his/her accommodation.
  • (4) When one or more of the following (a to c) apply to the individual seeking accommodation.
    • a. The individual is, according to the law on preventing unreasonable conduct by members of organized crime groups, a criminal syndicate (hereafter: Syndicate) or a member of a criminal syndicate (hereafter: Member) or other type of anti-social organization.
    • b. The individual is part of a corporation or group controlled by the Syndicate or a Member.
    • c. The individual is part of a corporation where the director is a Member.
  • (5) When the individual seeking accommodation is obviously intoxicated and, as per the judgement of hotel staff (employees), could cause trouble for other guests, or when the individual is behaving in a way that could be troublesome to other guests.
  • (6) When the individual seeking accommodation can be clearly identified as carrying an infectious disease.
  • (7) When the individual seeking accommodation is violent, threatening, or intimidating towards Hotel staff or attempts coercion. Or if the individual creates an unreasonable burden to Hotel staff or is known to have done so previously.
  • (8) When the Hotel is unable to provide accommodation due to natural disasters, malfunctions, and/or other unavoidable causes.
(Right of the Guest to Cancel the Accommodation Contract)
Article 6

  • 1. The Guest, by notifying the Hotel, has the right to cancel the accommodation contract.
  • 2. If the Guest cancels the accommodation contract in whole or in part for reasons that the Guest is responsible for (save for the case in which the Hotel has requested payment of the deposit according to paragraph 2 of article 3 and the Guest has cancelled before payment) The Guest shall pay cancellation charges. However, if a special contract has been concluded, per paragraph 1 of article 4, the same shall apply only when the Guest is informed of the obligation of payment of cancellation charges in case of cancellation by the Guest.

  • 3. If the Guest does not arrive by 1:00AM on the date of accommodation without contacting the Hotel (If a separate arrival time has been specified beforehand, the time at which that period has elapsed) the Hotel will treat the accommodation contract to have been cancelled by the Guest.
(Right of the Hotel to Cancel the Accommodation Contract)
Article 7

  • 1. The Hotel may cancel the accommodation contract under the following circumstances:
    • (1) When the individual seeking accommodation is deemed likely to conduct his/herself in an unlawful or immoral way, or act against public order in regard to his/her accommodation.
    • (2) When one or more of the following (a to c) apply to the individual seeking accommodation.
      • a. The individual is, according to the law on preventing unreasonable conduct by members of organized crime groups, a criminal syndicate (hereafter: Syndicate) or a member of a criminal syndicate (hereafter: Member) or other type of anti-social organization.
      • b. The individual is part of a corporation or group controlled by the Syndicate or a Member.
      • c. The individual is part of a corporation where the director is a Member.
    • (3) When the individual seeking accommodation partakes in actions that are troublesome to other Guests.
    • (4) When the individual seeking accommodation can be clearly identified as carrying an infectious disease.
    • (5) When the individual seeking accommodation is violent, threatening, or intimidating towards Hotel staff or attempts coercion. Or if the individual creates an unreasonable burden to Hotel staff or is known to have done so previously.
    • (6) When natural disaster and other unavoidable catastrophes, force majeure, make accommodation impossible.
    • (7) The Guest engages in prohibited actions, such as smoking in bed, tampering with fire-fighting equipment, or otherwise breaks regulations put forth by the Hotel (restricted to regulations deemed necessary in fire prevention).
  • 2. The Hotel will not charge the Guest for any accommodation services during the period he/she does not receive if it chooses to cancel the accommodation contract for any of the reasons listed above.
(Accommodation Registration)
Article 8

  • 1. The Guest shall register the following information with the front desk of the Hotel on the day of accommodation.
    • (1) The Guest’s name, age, sex, address, and occupation.
    • (2) For foreigners, nationality, passport number, entry point, and date of entry to Japan.
    • (3) Date and estimated time of departure.
    • (4) Other information deemed necessary by the Hotel.
  • 2. If the Guest intends to pay the accommodation charges described in article 12 by any means other than currency, for example traveler’s checks, accommodation vouchers, or credit cards, these credentials are to be presented at the time of registration mentioned in the previous paragraph.
(Guestroom Use Hours)
Article 9

  • 1. The Guest can use the guestroom of the Hotel from 5:00 pm until 10:00 am the following day.
  • 2. Despite the previous paragraph, the Hotel may permit the Guest to use the guestroom outside of the hours listed in the same paragraph. In this case a separate charge will be applied.
(Compliance with Hotel Rules)
Article 10

The Guest shall comply with the rules established by the Hotel. The rules are posted within the Hotel.

(Business Hours)
Article 11

  • 1. Business hours for the main facilities of the Hotel are as follows. Hours for other facilities, etc. are posted within the Hotel or available through a Hotel guide.
    • (1) Curfew・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・N/A
    • (2) Front Desk・・・・・・Open 24 hours
  • 2. The business hours listed in the previous paragraph are subject to temporary changes due to unavoidable circumstances. In these situations, the Hotel will inform the Guest through the appropriate channels.
(Payment of Charges)
Article 12

  • 1.An explanation of the accommodation charges, etc. the Guest is responsible to pay is listed in the Hotel’s standard charges chart.
  • 2. Accommodation charges etc. as described in the previous paragraph, are to be paid at the front desk in currency or by other means acceptable by the Hotel (facility) such as traveler’s checks, accommodation vouchers, credit cards, etc., upon the time of the Guest’s departure or when requested by the Hotel.
  • 3. Accommodation charges are still to be paid even if the Guest chooses not to utilize the Hotel facilities, of his/her free will, after receiving accommodation.
  • 4. In the event where the Guest’s accommodation plan includes breakfast etc., or other supplementary services, the charges are to be paid even if the Guest chooses not to partake in/utilize said services of his/her free will.
(Responsibilities of the Hotel)
Article 13

  • 1. The Hotel will compensate the Guest for damages incurred if said damages were caused by the Hotel through the fulfillment or nonfulfillment of the accommodation contract and/or related agreements. However, this does not apply if said damages were caused due to reasons for which the Hotel is not responsible.
  • 2.The Hotel is covered by liability insurance to deal with emergency fires, etc.
(Handing when Contracted Rooms are Unable to be Provided)
Article 14.

  • 1. In the event that that Hotel is unable to provide contracted rooms, with the permission of the Guest, the Hotel shall serve as an intermediary to arrange accommodation for the Guest at another facility of the same standard as much as possible.
  • 2. In the event that the arrangement of alternate accommodations is not possible, regardless of the conditions of the previous paragraph, the Hotel is to pay to the Guest compensation equivalent to the cancellation fee as reparations. However, when the Hotel is unable to provide accommodations due to reasons for which the Hotel is not responsible, compensation will not be paid.
(Handling of Deposited Articles)
Article 15

  • 1. The Hotel is to compensate the Guest for damages incurred by the loss, breakage, or other damage caused to goods, cash, or valuables left by the Guest at the front desk except for in cases of uncontrollable circumstance. However, in the case of cash/valuables, if the Hotel has requested the Guest to disclose the type or value of the items and the Guest has failed to do so, the Hotel will compensate the Guest up at a maximum of 30,000 yen.
  • 2. In the event that the loss, breakage, or damage of goods, cash or valuables the Guest has brought into the Hotel, yet not deposited at the front desk, occurs due to the negligence or intent of the Hotel, the Guest is to be compensated. However, in cases where the Guest has failed to disclose the type or value of the items in advance, the Hotel will compensate the Guest up to a maximum of 30,000 yen except for in instances where there is deliberate or serious negligence on the part of the Hotel.
(Keeping of the Guest’s Personal Effects and Hand Baggage)
Article 16

  • 1 In the event that the hand baggage of a Guest is brought to the Hotel before his/her arrival, the Hotel will only be held responsible for the safekeeping of said baggage if such a request has been accepted by the Hotel. The baggage will be given to the Guest at the front desk upon his/her arrival and check-in.
  • 2 If a Guest’s forgotten hand baggage or personal effects are discovered after check-out, and ownership of the article(s) is confirmed, the Hotel will inform the owner of the article(s) left behind, and ask for further instructions. However, when instructions are not given, or the owner of the article(s) cannot be discerned, the Hotel will hold the article(s) for 7 days, starting on the day they were discovered. After that the article(s) will be taken to the nearest police station.
  • 3. In regards to the Hotel’s responsibility concerning the keeping of a Guest’s hand baggage or personal effects in the case of paragraph 1, it shall be with the provisions set forth in paragraph 1 of the previous article.
(Responsibilities of the Guest)
Article 17

The Guest shall compensate the Hotel for any damages caused by intent or negligence on the part of the Guest.
(Disaster Countermeasures)
Article 18

In addition to cooperation in efforts to prevent disasters such as fires and earthquakes, in the event of an emergency, Guests are to follow the instructions of Hotel staff and calmly handle the situation.

Online Reservation System Terms of Service

Online Reservation System Terms of Service
The following Terms of Service apply to the use of the Online Reservation System (hereafter the “System”) by companies, groups, or individuals (hereafter the “Customer”) as dictated by Bagus Co. Ltd. (hereafter the “Company”). Please carefully read these Terms and Conditions before using the System.
(General Compliance)
Article 1

Customers are required to adhere to generally accepted manners, morals and technical rules when using the System.
The use of the System for profit, for any reason, such as arranging reservations on behalf of another party etc. is strictly forbidden.
(Measures Taken when General Compliance is Infringed Upon)
Article 2

The Company and affiliated Hotels reserve the right to refuse service to Customers deemed to be using the Service in an inappropriate way such as may cause others to be put in a troublesome or disadvantageous position, or interfere with the service of the Hotel using the System.
(Effects Caused by the Usage Environment of the Customer)
Article 3

The System can be used by Customers whose various character display (Japanese character display) and e-mail settings are correctly set. The Company and Hotel bear no responsibility for the working result, or connection status, or any results caused by, the actions of Customers who do not meet these criteria. Even if the above conditions are met, the same applies for any instances in which the System does not function properly due to reasons other than those caused by the Company and/or Hotel such as various circumstances regarding the Customer’s computer set-up.
(Conditions for System Users)
Article 4

Only Customers who have agreed to the Terms of Service may use the System. By completing a reservation using the System the Customer is deemed to have accepted this agreement and is expected to comply with the Terms of Service.
In using the System, the Customer agrees to adhere to this agreement. When making a reservation using the System the Customer is required to register his/her name, address, telephone number, email address etc.
There is a limit to the content of the accommodation services that the System can provide, Customers must agree not to seek further services or price reductions.
(Services Provided by the System)
Article 5

It is possible to reserve certain products provided by the Hotel through the homepage run by the Company.
(Compliance with Rules of Use)
Article 6

In the event Customers using the System use a room provided by the Hotel, they are required to abide by the “Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Contract” and “Facility Terms of Use” provided by the Hotel.
(Points to be Aware of when Using the System)
Article 7

Reservations made using the service provided by the System do not receive higher priority than those made through other means (Telephone reservations, fax reservations, reservations made through other hotels etc.) and as such, there is the possibility that reservations cannot be made if the Hotel is fully booked.
(User Responsibilities)
Article 8

By using the System, Customers agree to accept responsibility for any actions taken by themselves, and/or any actions, and the results thereof, conducted using the Customer’s e-mail account. In addition, by using the System, with the exception of cases caused by negligence on the part of the Company and/or Hotel, the Customer accepts all responsibility for any actions that may negatively affect a third-party, and agrees to resolve any potential issues that arise with said third-party themselves.
If the Company, Hotel or System incur any damages due to a Customer engaging in any of the following activities, the Company and/or Hotel will seek compensation from the Customer for the full amount of damages caused.
  • (1)Any breach of this agreement or the separately determined Terms of Service for Accommodation Contracts or Terms of Use for Facilities of the Hotel.
  • (2)Any reservation for accommodation made with false or misleading information.
  • (3)Completing user registration or reservations for a third-party without said individual’s consent.
  • (4)Transmission or creation of harmful programs.
  • (5)Entering or sending information pertaining to a third-party without said individual’s consent.
  • (6)Any conduct that violates current Japanese law.
(Reservation Request)
Article 9

Please correctly enter the required personal data into the reservation request form for the desired plan.
If insufficient data is entered into the reservation request form, the reservation may be deemed invalid.
(Reservation Approval)
Article 10

Reservations made through the Service are completed either when a reservation number is displayed on the internet browser, or when a reservation confirmation e-mail has been received by the Customer. At this point an accommodation contract between the Hotel and the Customer will be considered to have been formed.
(Payment)
Article 11

The final cost for reservations made through the System shall be included in the reservation conformation e-mail sent from the Company to the Customer. The cost is to be paid at the Hotel upon check-in through the method the Hotel designates. In the event additional costs are incurred separate from the reservation, they are to be settled by the Customer at the Hotel.
(Reservation Cancellations/Changes)
Article 12

In the event the Customer wishes to cancel or alter his/her reservation, the Customer is responsible for contacting the Hotel either through the Service or by telephone. In the event the Customer wishes to cancel all or part of his/her reservation the Hotel will receive a cancellation fee as per the Terms and Condition for Accommodation Contracts.
(Changes in System Content)
Article 13

System management and this agreement may change without notice if such changes are deemed necessary by the Company and/or Hotel. Please be sure to always read this agreement before using the System.
In addition, in the event of changes to this agreement, only the most up-to-date version retains its validity.
(Temporary Suspension of Use)
Article 14

Use of the System may be temporarily suspended without prior notice to the Customer in the event of the following circumstances:
  • When the System requires maintenance.
  • In the event type-1 telecommunications providers temporarily suspend telecommunications services and the operation of the Service becomes difficult.
  • Blackouts, fires, strikes, labor disputes, or other industrial disturbances, natural disasters, unavoidable accidents, regulations, administrative guidance, administrative discipline, court order, civil war, riot, epidemic, or any other reason beyond the control of the Company and/or Hotel which makes operation of the System difficult.
  • When the Company deems it necessary to temporarily suspend System use due to other reasons regarding the Hotel homepage or System management.
(Handling of Guest’s Personal Information)
Article 15

Personal information registered will be used to confirm the content of the reservation and to contact the Customer. Customer’s personal information will be handled in accordance to the Company’s “Personal Information Protection Policy”, by using the System the Customer is assumed to be in agreement with the policy. (Governing Laws Regarding System Use)
Article 16

The System is used in accordance with current Japanese laws.
(Court Jurisdiction Regarding System Use)
Article 17

If there is a question regarding interpretation, etc. or a dispute between the parties concerned regarding the use of the System, the parties are to do everything in their power to resolve said disagreement in good faith. In the event that, even after consultation, the parties are unable to come to an understanding, the Tokyo District Courts have exclusive jurisdiction over the agreement.
Supplementary provision. This law will come into force on August 1st 2017.
